The Deadliest War Since WWIII

In a recent table conversation the question was asked: What is the deadliest war since World War II? No one got it right, even though almost 6 million people have died as a result.  This war in the Democratic Republic of Congo has re-appeared on the front pages this week.

The UN is considering sending more troops in, in addition to Congo having the largest UN peacekeeping force in the world. Congo also has the highest number of rapes in the world. Read more here. This is another forgotten African war. Another possible Rwanda.
